Key Features
The filters generally consist of wire-mesh layers of varying filter fineness. The mesh with the lowest transmissibility, for instance 25 microns, determines the filtering effect. Other mesh layers with larger apertures are incorporated in the complete filter. The sturdy support cloth gives the filter an optimum strength. The aperture gradings and the order of the cloth layers are decisive for the homogenization of the melts and are therefore of great importance. Spin pump pressure up to 60 at (850 psi) and temperature up to 270A C (520A F) are no exception.
Multilayer filters are generally fitted with a frame made of aluminum or stainless steel. This frame holds the layers together, guarantees the correct order of the layers and at the same time acts as a gasket or seal.
