The seals have a simple, compact design, are easy to install and practically need no maintenance. The seals incorporate robust construction for maximum durability and operational reliability. The GCC 101 Series are unbalanced seals. The rotary unit is of compact design, consisting of multiple springs, dynamic secondary seal ring and a seal face, all accommodated in a retainer. Multiple Springs are used to avoid distortion at high speeds and ensure uniform pressure on-seal faces under all operating conditions. Secondary Seal Rings are available in various forms such as 'O' Rings, Square Rings, Wedge, etc. and in various elastomers such as viton, neoprene, silicon, Bunna-N, EPT, Ptfe, GFT, Grafoil, etc. The mating faces can be of high grade carbon, stellite, tungsten carbide, ceramic, etc. depending on the service conditions.
