Operations:
- The insertion force of striker is 1.85-2.5 lbs and the extraction force is 3.3-8.1 lbs.
- Part has a mechanical delay feature to prevent the door from being opened while the inner spin basket is spinning.
- The part disables the machine in the event the coil fails.
- The part is capable of sensing when the door is open and closed. It allows operation only when the door is closed.
- Electrical contacts are capable of handling vibrations while under power.
- Under normal operating conditions, the contacts of the switch shall be allowed to close only when the door striker (catch) is "fully inserted first and then the coil is energized". The contacts open for the following conditions:
- The coil is de-energized.
- The coil is energized and the striker (catch) is not in place.
