Applications: UNIVERSAL Modified Bitumen can be used for:-
- Stress absorbing membrane (SAM) for sealing of cracks as well as interim overlay for reventive maintenance for delaying reflaxion cracking
- In high rainfall areas due to their better creep resistance properties, also at busy junctions, bridge decks, roundabouts for increased life of surfacing in snow bound areas etc.
Universal Modified Bitumen is available with modifiers like Plastomeric Thermoplastic, Elastomeric Thermoplastic, Synthetic Rubber Latex, Natural Rubber and Crum Rubber.
Selection Of Polymer & Crum Rubber Modified Bitumen :-
UNIVERSAL Modified Bitumen type selection is based on Climatic, Traffic, Performance reports and life cycle cost analyses. Atmospheric Temperature Selection criteria for PMB and CRMB is as:-
- < 35 C - PMB120 or CRMB 50
- 35 to 45 C- PMB 70 or CRMB 55
- > 45 C- PMB 40 or CRMB 60 or CRMB 55
- At Universal Modifier and Bitumen is thoroughly blended so that the Modified Bitumen retains its premium properties. The storage stability of Modified Bitumen at high temperature is very important. Universal Modified Bitumen is blended as per IRC specification at our factory
- Testing facility for penetration, softening point, separation and recovery can be done in house at lab in the factory
- Third party govt. approved laboratory certificate can also be provided on request.
