Power-o-stat (continuously variable auto transformer) is a device that delivers the voltage from 0 to 270 volts in single phase and 0 to 470 in 3 phase continuously without any break in output voltage. This variation is obtained by the turning of the knob in less than a complete circle rotation. These units are very compact and very economical comparing to the conventional transformers.

SEECO manufactures various capacities of Power-o-stats 2Amps, 4Amps, 8Amps, 10Amps, 15Amps, 28Amps, 40Amps, 50Amps, 60Amps, 100Amps, 150Amps and 200Amps. These capacities are manufactured for single phase, and three phase units. In single phase, from 2Amps to 100Amps, only on core is being used and above 100 to 200 Amps two units upto 100Amps three units are random mounted and the common shaft that drives the carbon for three cores simultaneously giving equal voltage across each phase. Above 100Amps, 6 cores are employed and they are mechanically arranged in such a way that across each phase, they deliver equal voltages. In three phase, the units are rated for 415 volts, 3 phase with output 0-470 volts 50/60 Hz.
