CNG CONVERSION KIT is a microprocessor based gas injection controller. It is mainly destined for modern cars, which have technologically advanced OBD II system with possibility of communication through digital serial CAN bus. It gives possibility of diagnosing OBD of original car's petrol ECU from the level of LPG controller's software. Besides signals from original's petrol injectors controller uses additionally information from car's OBD system (like vacuum, signals from both lambda probes, short and long term fuel trims) to determine amount of gas needed in the particular moment. Controller reads the parameters of mixture's correctors mentioned above and adjusts gas injectors opening times, to make the a Short Time Fuel Trima and a Long Time Fuel Trima values oscillate between values expected by the car's manufacturer.

In STAR MAX OBD CAN II controller the unique algorithms of controlling LPG injectors has been used. Injection opening time for each gas injector is being calculated individually, in real time, basing on injection opening time of petrol injector corresponding to it. Thanks to that solution efficiency and dynamics of driving on gas are practically identical like on petrol.
