Introduction

Chitin is a naturally occurring polymer that has great commercial utility and significant economic value. For example, chitin has been found to be particularly useful for the production of chitosan, which is useful in the treatment of municipal water, and as a raw material for the production of glucosamine, which is the nutritively important monomer of chitin.

Manufacturing Process of CHITIN

1. 1. Shellfish wastes from food processing unit (Shrimp Shells) washed with water
2. Decalcification in dil Aqueous HCL solution.
3. Hot water washing.
4. Deproteination in dil Aqueous NaoH solution.
5. Decolarisation.
6. Hot water washings.
7. Final material dried in sunlight or tray dries.

• 10/20 Kgs. Polythene lined polypropylene bags.

Special packing are made available as per requirements of the customer including Shrink Wrapping and Palletizing.
