Para Model ASC-05A / ASC-10A Automated Sample Changer - Alpha Counter is a versatile indigenously developed system for Alpha radiation counting of samples on 25 mm (1a ) or 51 mm (2a ) diameter filter papers or planchets.

Model ASC-05A / ASC-10A incorporates programmable sample positioning system and programmable Alpha Counting System. Once the system is programmed it can work On-line (PC connected) or Off-line (PC disconnected). Sample positioning/movement, system and counting parameters and report generation is programmed by user friendly menu based PC software. Alpha Counting System incorporates ZnS(Ag) Scintillation Detector **, programmable high voltage, preamplifier, spectroscopy amplifier, SCA/Counter/Timer programmable by PC. The front end electronics is specifically designed for achieving very low background counts.
