Anti Block Masterbatches

Surface properties of polymer films which result from amorphous regions and migrated low molecular weight species at the surface are the cause of blocking - the unwanted adhesion between adjacent layers of plastic film occurring under pressure during storage and use. Antiblock additives in plastic films are therefore incorporated for ease of further handling, conversion and product specifications. The antiblock is chosen based on its interaction with other additives in the polymer and the requisite optical properties.
