Spherodize annealing is process to improve mach inability of hypereutectoid steel. This process will produce a spheroidal or globus form of carbide in a ferrite matrix which makes machining easy. The process is called Spherodizing. The benefits of spherodize annealing are to improve ductility, removal of residual stresses that results from cold working or machining, Grain refinment. Annealing reduces the hardness, yield strength and tensile strength of the steel. Data logger device had been installed to monitor and record annealing cycle on regular basis.

Three piece sample drawn from the single lot of spherodize annealing, to check complete spherodize distributed carbides as per size CG 2.1 to 2.3 and perlite amount = 3.0 according to SEP 1520-98. Cemmentite in ferrite matrix with uniform.
