Complexity of labour laws, has been compounded by the interpretation of various courts, through case laws in certain cases.

Keeping in view the present political environment, it may be difficult for the Government to bring comprehensive changes in labour laws which being workers friendly, however, interventions of highest courts of the laws has introduced some changes considered necessary for the industry to maintain discipline and be competitive.

It has therefore become necessary for Managers/ supervisors to understand these changes and court decision for better implementation of Labour Laws. It is also necessary to get updated in their knowledge both in respect of existing laws, amendments and court judgments, to enable them to be more effective.

In view of demand from member companies and other industrial units and since were unable to accommodate all the persons nominated by their respective companies in the last month programme, ASSOCHAM is again organising a non-residential two-day workshop on “Knowledge of few important Labour Laws with Court Judgements for Managers/ Supervisors on October 12 and 13 at the chamber's headquarters in New Delhi.

The workshop is designed for senior/middle-level managers/executives of HR/ Legal/ Administration/ Line functionaries from private and public sector organizations.

ASSOCHAM's Chief Advisor (HR), M.K. Garg has said, "The workshop is intended to benefit the participants by updating their knowledge through presentations of highly experienced and learned speakers in which they shall discuss provisions of the laws, analyze various court judgments and help in problem solving."

"We believe that the workshop will provide value addition to the knowledge of participants to enable them to perform better," he added.
