You will get a lot of inquiries from Nigeria, Togo, Benin, etc stating they are agents or having orders for govt supply, unicef, refugees, world bank funded, etc, etc. Whenever you you get such mails such do not even read it, just delete it. The genuineness will be so perfect, it will fool even the most shrewd.
Everything will look so geniune. Once you reply, they will ask for agreement to be signed and sent. They will say that the payment will be 100% by TT.
There will be a few communications exchanged. Then they will send a mail that their buyer has agreed to the prices and to officially make the agreement legal (they will give some reason)
a fee has to be sent by you in advance which may range from USD 100 to thousands. Once you sent this, then you will never hear from them.
So if at all you want to reply to them, do not send any money in advance. And do not work on lC even if it irrevocable. Accept on 100% advance. And supply your products only after the account has been received into your account.

Dear Mr.Gupta
Hi,
I would like to share some of my knowledge/ exprience.
If you are dealing with a Nigerian for this deal be careful.
If you are dealing with an Indian u can ask for a confirmed letter of credit from European bank or Amrican Bank.
U can make out the how genuaine the customer is by checking his email address, if it is yahoo, or gmail of hotmail then u should not entertain the enquiry.
Further please talk to the person directly, before u do business.
There are lot of fake enquiries, which keep coming from these fraud people u will feel that this is the correct buyer and get carried away with them.
U will even receive a LC from Nigeria which looks as if original.
So please be careful,
With Best Regards

Please check the credibility of your source in Nigeria as lot of people have been duped by the big talk of these people operating only to take exporters for a ride. They will say the you need to send some money by moneygram so that they can bribe the tender official or for submitting your bid and after you have sent the money, they just disappear. Please check how genunine is the whole deal and do not send any money in advance.
