Dear Mr Kapoor,

It is difficult to identify the Stainless steel. It can be distinguished by methods as

magnet testing
spark testing
hardness testing
acid testing

Dear Mr.Gambir,

I have come across a chemical which can identify all grades of SS in just a few minutes and can be checked at the spot.

Dear Mr.Gambhir,

Few drops of chemical is poured on to the SS sheet to be checked. 9 Volt battery's + & - both terminals are put on the chemical for few seconds. The colour of sheet changes. Different grades of SS (202,304,316 etc) gives unique colours. With these colours SS grade can be identified. You can not be cheated by getting a lower grade of SS paying for higher grade.
