For samples i would suggest using a courrier company like UPS or DHL.For end products use air shipments if quantities are not very big.

It all depends on necessity, If the sample is of priority then TNT, DHL, Fedex, UPS etc can be used but if you can aford delay in shipment and the sample is not so urgent then normal Airmail can also be done.

It is always advisable to call 3 quotes and select the best amongst them as you have contacted Fedex only, you can call DHL, TNT & UPS quotes also and select the best amongst them.

Hope it will serve your purpose.

I absolutely agree with Mr Kanani. For samples better to serve through fast delivery courier, we may need to pay a bit more, but assurance of faster delivery. But make sure that the paper work for samples is proper and is shared with the customer also because the shipments are held a lot of times due to some errors in paper.

For the consignment it depends upon the Size of consignment / freight element in your costing and the delivery time available.

Best of Luck for your new business
