TOPIC : What is an Inland Bill of Lading?
Posted on 09 June 2007 at 12:41:00

I am new to the export business. I have just got a call from a business house who wants to buy products from me. Somebody told me about various bills of lading. Can anyone throw some light on this topic?

I will not dwell on the details, but in short an inland bill of lading is a document that establishes an agreement between a shipper and a transportation company for the transportation of goods. It is used to lay out the terms for transporting items overland to the exporter's international transportation company.
