Dear Shree Chanana
To start export business or activity you need following pre-requisites.
Q 1)&2)
a) You have to be a registered firm , may it be Proprietary or partnership or Pvt Ltd
b) You have to apply to DGFT for getting IEC code. Along with Fees of Rs 1000 , two Passport sized Colour photo and other documents as prescribed in application form. You may download the same from website www.dgft.gov.in
c)Suggested to get RCMC from relevant EPC
d) You shall have a bank account preferably with Nationalised or Private Bank with Authorised Code for dealing in Foreign Exchange
Q 3) CIF is "COST INSURANCE & FREIGHT" its an INCO Term widely used in international trade. INCO terms fixes the cost , risk and responsibilities of buyer and sellers and are drafted by ICC (International Chamber of Commerce).
