TOPIC : How to lower price of products?
Posted on 27 August 2007 at 11:59:00

We are in Indian market with good repute regarding our starch and chemical products. And we are interested in exporting our products worldwide.

But we are facing a problem regarding the price as the price what we are quoting seems to be too much high. But we are quoting only what we have to pay.

Kindly suggest me the alternative ways so that I can lower down the price. Right now we don't have any exim license too.

The best way to lower the advertisement and marketing cost of a product to sale globally is to market the product through internet. One of the largest and fastest growing online company is SFI which offer free or cheap offer to advertise your product globally and generate you huge sales. millions of companies across the globe advertise products with SFI. You can be one of them.

In my personal opinion, I agree with Mr. Muhammad Fateh Rana in free internet marketing, it becomes a trend and popular way, but I don"t know for sure about the effect. But at least you should try. Except reducing the ads expenses you should improve your company management and reducing the wast in middle phase say production and transportation process. And try to find some other producers with advantages in your product material. Generally you should try to find other ways which can reduce your unnecessary or irrational expenses.
Good luck to you

Calculate the price of product in excel sheet taking in consideration of DEPB (because it is the most important price factor to count. Make every details of cost factor from purchase of goods to dispatch till warehouse.

I think if you offer reasonable prices about your products, it's OK. You have to find the customer who could afford your products. You know, not all customers would like to buy high quality products. Like Nike shoes -- It's difficult to sell them to all the people but I am sure you find who will buy them.

I think you could try to low your cost, but do not low the quality, and improve your technology.

Dear Shubham Agarwal,

MANY OF TIMES WHAT HAPPENED THAT WE ARE OFFERING LOW PRICE TO IMPORTER BUT THAT IMPORTER SAID TO EXPORTER THAT THE PRICE IS SO HIGH. IT IS FACT.

THE REASON BEHIND THIS THAT IMPORTER ALREADY AVAIL THE SIMILAR PRODUCT FROM ANOTHER EXPORTER SO HE WANT THAT YOU GIVE LOWER PRICE FROM THAT EXPORTER. IMPORTER IS RIGHT IN HIS SIDE BECAUSE HE DON'T KNOW MUCH MORE ABOUT YOU WHILE HE ALREADY MAINTAIN RELATIONSHIP WITH ESTABLISHED EXPORTER.

IN THIS SITUATION IMPORTER TAKE RISK TO PURCHASE THE PRODUCTS FROM YOU THEN HE WANTS THAT YOU GIVE LOW RATE SO THAT HE TAKE THIS RISK.
