TOPIC : Can market statistics give an idea where to export?

Dear all,
I want to start business in international market in fastener industry. So how do I find a suitable market for this industry. I have been going through the statistics of various countries. Do these statistics give one a fair idea of the markets and can I base my business strategy based of the research I have done on these markets?

Ofcourse sir,market statistics give u an idea about the nature of
customers,their likes & dislikes,preference they r given to particular product & most imp. thing is their purchasing power.
any way pls tell me what mean my fastener industry.

Dear Rajat,

What you require is to first look at indian exports of fastners across the globe. Than identify the market you want to focus on.Than acquire the importers list of that particular country approach importer one by one.
