They have a 800 billion $ trade deficit a year. How long will other countries like China,Japan and India have faith in greenbucks and keep there reserves in us dollars.Incase they decide to shift to other curencies like euro or a mixed bag of currency what effect could it have on the US economy.I feel India should not keep all its reserve in greenbucks

Old saying donot put all your eggs in one basket.India should keep its reserves in a few differnt currencies and then keep changing its policy on it as the need of the hour

I think the RBI should stop buying any more dollars. It should also sell the massive holding of dollars it possesses. Trend shows that the rupee would appreciate. By making imports cheaper it would encourage people to import more into the country. The Finance Minister should reject all proposals to increase the government's borrowing from the RBI. He should cut custom duties on imports and hope that as a result imports will increase, pulling down the level of reserves. Faster growth of the Indian economy will mean higher imports and using foreign exchange for the things people wish to use them for.

Are u trying to say when you owe the bank 1 crore you are in troble if you cannot pay back and if you owe the bank 1000 crores the bank is in trouble if you cannot payback? So the bank should always support you even if they know you will default one day if you donot change yourself.
