Q. What is the difference between fibre reinforced plastic and glass reinforced plastic?
Answer
Fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) is a combination of a reinforcement material and a polymer. When glass fibre is used as a reinforcement material it is called as glass-fibre-reinforcement polymer (GRP). Thus GRP is a type of FRP. Similarly when carbon fibre is combined with a polymer it is called as carbon-fibre-reinforced polymer (CRP).
