Viscosity Index Improver - Olefinic Copolymer Clear, Oil Concentrate Ocp Type, Shear Stability, Piston Cleanliness, Viscosity Loss Reduction

PS2000 or the viscosity index improver is an oil concentrate OCP type olefinic copolymer which is used a Viscosity index improver in crankcase lubricants in order to get desired shear stability. Viscosity Index Improvers works forth to reduce viscosity in the lubricants thereby offering loss in viscosity index due to shear forces produced during engine operation. PS2000 exhibit superior characteristics as evident by an average viscosity loss of 12% in 100 SAE 15W-40 crankcase oil over the on-road service. As per the laboratory results of Caterpillar diesel engine, PS2000 is supposed to be performing better for piston cleanliness to poly isobutylene type V.I Improvers and advanced to the polymeric ester type. Owing to its hydrocarbon structure, PS2000 behaves just like to base oil in tests conducted over MS Sequence engine. Multi-viscosity oils having VII have affinity to lower down the Octane Requirements Increase (ORI) as compared to V.I. Improvers.
