The VI-CLR replaces the conventional, smaller CLRs in your precipitator's power supply. But the VI-CLR has something extraa control winding that actually changes the inductance of the CLR to perfectly follow real-time changes in the precipitator, so the power supply is always 'tuned to the load'. This fine tuning has resulted in average power increases of nearly 70% in some cases, without changing anything in the precipitator!
