Microtex train lighting batteries for railway applications are manufactured in India by Mysore Thermo Electric Private Limited for over two decades. MTEPL has a well-established battery Division with fully equipped chemical and electrical Laboratory at Peenya in Bangalore.

Microtex Train lighting Batteries are made up of a number of cells of 2 volts each. The cells assembled in Molded Monoblock Hard Rubber containers are connected with welded joints made of lead alloy with an anti-corrosive coating. The Microporous Vent Plugs fitted to the cells prevent the spilling of the electrolyte.

Each cell is assembled in Monoblock Hard Rubber container containing Microtex high performance tubular positive plates in premium Energy Bags Tubular Gauntlets, pastes negative plates manufactures under exacting control to withstand rough handling and electrically separated by high quality PE Separators.
