Thermoplastic Polyurethanes (Tpu) Custom Profiles

Thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU) excel in applications demanding tear strength, abrasion and flex fatigue resistance. TPUs resistance to ozone, extreme temperatures, and abrasion makes it ideal for harsh environments. Its commonly used in sporting goods, tubing, wire, protective coatings, and medical devices.TPU offers versatile processing and performance characteristics. It can be colored with masterbatches and is naturally transparent (UV stabilization is recommended to prevent yellowing). Like TPRs, TPUs are combustible but can be made self-extinguishing with additives. While painting and lacquering typically require a primer, TPU can be mirror welded. It exhibits good resistance to oils and greases but less so to acids and alkalis. TPU can bond to itself (different colors), as well as hard PVC, ABS, ASA, PMMA, and PC.
