Thermal Cutout - Model BPM is the smallest thermal cutout in our range of products. It has a contact rating of up to 8Amps and Voltage up to 240VAC or 24VDC. The outer body is made of high temperature resistant engineering polymer. All the internal components are spot-welded on a stainless steel housing plate. The wires are PTFE leads which can withstand high temperature. The body is sealed with an industrial grade epoxy and so this thermal cutout is resistant to dust, dirt, fumes, moisture, gases etc. Especially suitable for motor and transformer winding protection, rechargeable battery packs and any over-temperature protection applications where space is limited. Due to small size the response to temperature rise is fast, thereby ensuring complete protection during rapid temperature rise. The operating principle of this thermal cutout is the snap action bimetal thermostat.
