Tea Tree belongs to family myrtaceae and oil is extracted from leaves of melaleuca alternifolia. Tea tree oil is also called as melaleuca oil. It could be toxic if taken orally else it has many medicinal uses and is used in cosmetics and in ancient times it has been used as cure all medicine.
EXTRACTION:
Tea Tree oil is obtained by process of steam distillation of leaves and twigs of melaleuca alternifolia
PROPERTIES:
It has camphoraceous odor and color ranges from pale yellow to colorless in color.
COMPONENTS:
Its main constituents are alpha pinene Beta Pinene Alpha terpinene cineole linalool and many others.
BLENDING:
It blends well with Cinnamon oil clary sage oil clove oil geranium oil lemon and nutmeg oil.
USES:
