Construction Features
- Corrosion prevention features: The motor is made of SS outer shell and epoxy coated upper and lower housing, which ensures the absence of rust in condition of utilization.
- Shaft: Stainless Steel.
- Electric Cable: Removable 3 wire flat cable with watertight connector.
- Winding: Motor can be easily rewindable with super enamelled winding wire.
- Filling Liquid: A special food grade non-toxic dielectric fluid gives a better lubricant effect increasing life of moving parts and life of insulation material with its superior coolant capabilites. The liquid high thermal capacity gives the motor superior overload capabilities.
- Bearing System: Both radial and axial thrust bearing type. The filled liquid is perfect environment for ball bearing ensuring higher upthrust load capabilities and a long life maintenance free operation.

- Submersible Motor is simple in construction and is of Squirrel cage induction type and is Oil Filled. The oil filling not only serves to lubricate the bearing but also provides ideal cooling for winding and withstands against high operating temperature much higher than those attainable with Water Filled Motor.
- The efficiency of Oil Filled Motor is much higher than Water Filled Motor. This is because of the usage of ball bearings. Due to this mechanical losses are very less. Moreover thin Copper enamelled insulated winding wire used instead of PVC coated wire.
- Due to higher efficiency power consumption is less compared to water filled Submersible Motor.
- Less vibration due to the usage of ball bearings.
- Easy to repair. Local electric motor winder can rewind and repair Oil Filled Motor.
- Higher efficiency by 7% compared to water cooled Motor.
- Oil Filled Motor does not require start capacitor for starting and hence considerable saving for control panel.
- Easy to operate.
- Can work on 140 to 230 volts A.C. Single phase.
- Due to reduction in voltage there will be drop in performance by 15% than the declared data of standard voltage whereas in Water Filled Motor the drop is about 40% of declared values.
- Very simple control panel incorporating running capacitor and MCB.
- Less weight compared to Water Filled Motor, therefore easy for transportation and simple for installation.
- Requires less maintenance compared to Water Filled Submersible Motor.
- Price of Oil Filled Submersible pumpset is less compared to Water Filled Submersible Pumpset as the cost of control panel is minimized and included in the price of pumpset.
