Submerged Arc Welding (Saw) Machine

We are Making, Exporting and Supplying Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) Machines in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. Submerged arc welding (SAW) is a common arc welding process. It is a fusion welding method that arc burns under the flux.

It is widely used in pipe spool fabrication for various materials in pipe spool fill and cap pass because of its lower cost and higher welding efficiency. It has below advantages:

* High welding efficiency: the penetration ability of the arc and the deposition efficiency of the welding wire are relatively large, and the welding speed is high.
* The welding parameters of submerged arc welding can be kept stable through automatic adjustment system, and the degree of dependence on welder skill level is low.
* No spatter, no arc, low demand for wind speed;

NAEC designed pipe welding machine can adopt SAW for automatic fill and cap pass.

When the welding material is determined, the chemical composition of the weld depends to a large extent on the matching of flux and wire. Therefore, proper selection of flux and welding wire is an important part of submerged arc welding technology.
NAEC SAW welding machine recommended welding wire: A A 2.0-2.4mm; for big pipes, thicker wire such as A A 4.0mm is recommended.

During SAW welding, the welding speed can reach 350 to 400mm per min.


Surely our welding machine can not only implement SAW for automatic fill and cap pass, it can also implement GTAW or RMD for root pass, GMAW, GTAW for fill and cap pass. All of those welding technologies can be realized by using one welding power source.

We have programmed 40sets WPS in the touch screen, operators just need to select the suitable one.
