Works with PCs running Microsoft XP, Vista, and Windows 7
Transmission distance from handset to receiver: 100 meters radius (328 feet)
System handles up to 1,000 handsets
Power source: AAA (1.5 volt) batteries for readily available low cost power
Power saver controls turn off handsets after 30 minutes of no use to conserve power and extend battery life. Usual battery life in a classroom setting is two years.
Receiver connects to standard USB port on a PC
Impact resistant handsets and instructor controllers designed to withstand accidental drops. Positive response buttons (you can feel the switch move when you press the buttons) are protected by a spill resistant cover.
