Working principle of stalk dryer
Wet materials move together with hot air at a high speed in the pipes, with a powerful fan drawing air. During this process, wet materials absorb heat and release moisture. In the end, moisture is separated from materials and vented with air. When the temperature of hot air is 180a , stalk dryer can reduce moisture from 35% to 10%. The temperature should not be less than 180a and the highest could reach 300a . Hot air could be heated by coal, wood, steam or electricity.
A. Due to the high speed of hot air, materials are dispersed. This spreads the contact surface and accelerates the drying speed.
B. Stalk dryer completes the drying process in a short time about 5-7 seconds. It will not cause a bad effect to heat-sensitive materials.
C. Due to the short drying time, relatively high temperature is available.
