It is a heavy coated rutile type all position austenite ferritic electrode with a ferrite content of approx 15%. Excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance in continuous service upto 1100C. Gives little spatter, easy detachable slag with fine ripple beads of radiographic quality. For joining high alloy and unalloyed steels. Also suitable for buffer layer on 18/8 Cr-Ni steels. Suitable for heat-resistant steels type AISI 309.
