Solvent black 7 is insoluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, benzene and methyl benzene, easily soluble in oleic acid, formic acid and acetic acid. Blue in dense sulphuric acid and blue precipitate after dilution, blue black in dense nitric acid and acid-proof, alkali-proof, good color fastness to light.

Applications :-
Solvent Black 7 is recommended for bakelite powder, bakelite cloth rubber, plastic and leather, raw material of leather shoes oil, carbon paper and insulating paint resin coloring, plastic coloring (temp. over 280C of Nylon, ABS etc), leather and fur coloring, printing ink, stationery (especially ball-pen ink), positive charge control agent in electrostatic printing powder etc..
