Applications:
- We are providing you softeners which are used to impart a pleasing, silky, non-greasy, full, resilient, handle to fiber, yarn and fabrics. It performs many other functions such as lubrication, improvement of stitching properties, antistatic effect etc., depending on the material being treated.
- It can produce a satisfactory softening effect when applied at optimum concentrations. Its high substantivity is particularly apparent for natural and regenerated cellulose, fibers, but satisfactory results are also obtained on acrylic, polyester and polyamide fiber materials.
- For optimum results it should be applied on a winch or a jigger at a pH of 5 - 5.5. Treatment time should be 15 - 20 minutes at room temperature.
- It can also be applied on a padding mangle. The temperature of drying should be 120oC. Because of its cationic nature, other ingredients of the padding solution would be checked for compatibility. It can be is easily soluble in warm water. It can be dissolved in about five times the quantity of warm water with proper stirring. Further dilution can be effected with cold water.
