We offer Silk Noil that has a nubby feel and a low sheen. Noil somewhat resembles cotton in surface texture, and sews easily. The nubby texture of noil comes from the use of very short fibers (called, appropriately, 'silk noils') to weave the fabric.

Noil is a bit bulky to use for gathered construction, but it has a gentle drape. It is durable, travels well and resists wrinkles. It is best suited for loose to moderately fitted pants, skirts, slacks, dresses, and jackets. Also used for Men's suits. Silk noil is very easy to sew, doesn't show pin holes, but does tend to unravel.
