Product Application
INDOSEM, di-electric semi-rigid rod is designed to provide high degree
of flexibility with excellent tensile strength & modulus performance
without adding bulk. It is most suited for loose tube, uni-tube, ribbon
cable, premise cable & typically used as peripheral reinforcement in
fiber optic cables. It is typically embedded in the jacket and the cable
manufactured with it would be smaller in diameter, lighter in weight and
thus has a low total cable cost. It is highly flexible.
Description
INDOSEM is manufactured using E-glass fiber with flexible resin
system. Indosem is available in various coatings including, EAA, Hard,
Mega Bond and HDPE, which allows easy handling. Tuff-coating
provides very smooth surface, whereas Mega Bond is most suitable
where high adhesion to jacketing material is desirable.
INDOSEM is available from 0.25 mm to 3.0 mm diameter in
increment of 0.1 mm with very close dimensional tolerances. However,
requests for any special diameter or packaging are most welcome.
A long continuous standard length FRP rod improves yield & productivity on the factory floor.
