Winding shaft is made of alloy steel with a trim threading slot design. Shaft is driven by gear box through electric motor. Scrap is wound on the portion of the shaft between two lateral walls. Idle press roll is made of alloy steel assembled on tilting lever arms and operated by pneumatic cylinder. The complete drive system is extracted by hydraulic cylinder allowing scrap bundle to fall on a tapered plate between lateral walls.
