In order to increase the time, for which damage of a building does not start because of thermal exposure of flame, it is necessary to protect a surface of metal against heat impact. Fire-protective intumescent paint RE-FLAME possesses the properties which allow the paint to increase in volume up to 50 times when being heated. During expanding, RE-FLAME forms a fire-proof foam with a low heat-conductivity coefficient, which prevents reaching the flame and the temperature of the metal surface. This way RE-FLAME restrains flame temperature up to 90 minutes. The given time is supposed to be enough for total evacuation of all the staff members from the room and for an emergency service to arrive at the object which will have time to put out a fire, before the building starts breaking down.
