Process Die Casting

The traditional die-casting process may be described as the injection under high pressure (otherwise known as a tool or die) of a molten metal alloy. This solidifies rapidly (in a few seconds) to form a net-shaped component, which is then automatically extracted.
The majority of zinc components, and non-ferrous components in general, are produced by the high-pressure die-casting process. Other casting processes include gravity casting and investment casting, suitable for low volumes or materials with very high melting points.
There are two basic die-casting processes, differentiated only by their methods of metal pressure die casting machine: hot-chamber and cold-chamber. In addition, there are two types of hot-chamber die casting processes: conventional and multi-slide. All of these die casting processes are described in greater the relevant sub-sections.
