P Series Destoners :

Faster Finer Separation, The basic principle of the destoner or
stoner involves flowing dry granular material over an inclined,
vibrating, screen covered deck. Vacuum air is pulled through the deck,
and through the bed of material. The steady air flow holds the product
in stratified flotation lighter material in the upper
strata-as it flows down the inclined vibrating deck.
Heavier-than-product material such as stones, glass, metal etc., travel
uphill and out. The product itself flows downhill, and
at the discharge end of the deck, we can skim off and divert the top
part of the bed which contains all the lighter impurities for further
purification, as on a gravity table. The bottom portion of the bed
consists of gravity pure, finished product that often needs no further refinement.
