* Absorption of topical Permethrin is minimal i.e.only 0.5% absorption in the first 48 hours based upon Excretion of Urinary Metabolites .
* It is the first line drug for Scabies .
* A single application of permettrin is superior to a single dose of Ivermectin. Two doses of Ivermection is as effective as a single application of permethrin .
* It is effective during all stages of the life cycle of the parasite.
* It is approved by the food and Drug Administration in patients older than 2 months of age.
