It can visually analyze the severity of partial discharge and measure the degradation of internal insulation. Through this, the maintenance personnel can find the insulation degradation timely in the electrical apparatus and take corresponding measures, thus the serious problems such as short-circuit can be avoided.

The GTPD-2013 partial discharge detector adopts currently popular method like ultra-high frequency and ultrasonic to detect the partial discharge. Through the outer UHF antenna receiving GIS internal partial discharge radiationi ultra-high frequency and ultrasonic signals, the weak partial discharge signals produced within the device can be detected effectively. PD-UAE uses the ultra-high frequency as the main detecting method and ultrasonic as the auxiliary method.
