During last years oxygen measurement has become more and more important in steel industry, in order to improve the quality of the final product and to speed up production processes. For this reason, a computerized system for oxygen measurement in EAF and ladles is of great importance, especially if it can be applied to oxidizing and deoxidizing models. Moreover, computer measurement gives the opportunity to analyse all the data (oxygen values, steel composition and temperature) in order to improve metallurgical models and steel making practice. Suyash OxyPro consists of an oxygen reference cell and a thermocouple. The two voltage signals of the cell and thermocouple are converted in the measuring instrument OxyTem into the digital oxygen-activity value. The OxyTem can be connected to any existing computer system.
