Mtl4501-sr Fail Safe Switch

The MTL4501-SR is a single-channel fail-safe switch/proximity detector interface with Line Fault Detection (LFD). It provides intrinsic safety isolation between hazardous-area switches or proximity detectors and a fail-safe electronic output in the safe area.

The MTL4501-SR is designed for safety instrumented systems requiring operation up to SIL 3 according to IEC 61508. It is backplane mounted and is part of the MTL4500 series intrinsic safety isolators.
