GENERAL DESCRIPTION :
EPOCH MICROPROCESSOR INDICATOR is a state of the art digital indicator, which takes
good advantage of processor techniques. To increase the readout accuracy, the processor
takes maximum advantage of A to D converter by utilizing its full range. The unit supplies a
precisely regulated D.C excitation for the Load Cell. Each Load Cell has an independent
front end amplifier built around a high precision operational amplifier with TARE and SPAN
control. The output of the Load Cell (Max. 4 Load Cells can be connected in parallel) will be
received by high input impedance, Differential Input, drift compensated and matched
instrumentation amplifier with better common mode rejection ratio.
The output of the amplifier is multiplexed on to a dual slope Analog to Digital converter
through an anti-aleasing filter. The CMOS multiplex, as well as the A/D converter is under the
control of the microprocessor. This processed signal is displayed on the 7-segment LED
display. Indicator has a dedicated display controller. The potentiometric control is for initial
Tare adjustment.
