Application Instructions:

All surfaces to be applied with K2 Polycrete must be thoroughly cleaned by a wire brush , to remove all dust, laitence or debris, free from oil, grease, wax or any other foreign matter which might affect adhesion. Spalled and deeply disintegrated concrete or mortar must be removed to a sound substrate and repaired suitably before coating.

Mixing:

K2 Polycrete should be mixed with neat cement in the ratio of 1:2 to obtain a uniform and consistent slurry avoiding any lump formation. Do not mix for more than 2 minutes. Do not mix more than can be used within the pot life. Retempering the mix with water should not be done. Keep on mixing till the entire quantity is applied, so that solids do not settle at the bottom of the container.

For optimum results, wet the surface before coating. Apply the mix with a short, stiff bristle brush to an approximate thickness of 1 to 2mm. K2 Polycrete surface must be protected from abrasion, rain or other adverse conditions for the first 12 hours of curing. No traffic shall be allowed within 48 hours after application. 2 coats of application of K2 polycrete is required. First coat should be allowed to air dry for 5 - 6 hours. After application of the final coat, air dry for 2 to 6 hours. During this period water should not be used for curing. Moist curing should be done for the next 24 hours by spraying water on K2 Polycrete coating. Following moist curing, K2 Polycrete should be allowed to dry for three days before water logging.

Packaging: Available in 1, 5, 20 & 200 liter packs.

Coverage: 1.8 kg mixed material covers l sq.mt. at 1mm. Thickness. Consumption varies depending on the texture and porosity of the surface and application thickness.

Storage: K2 Polycrete liquid has a shelf life of 6 months, when stored in unopened, normal conditions.

Health & Safety:

K2 Polycrete is water based and non-toxic. Gloves should be worn during application. Any splashes on the skin or eyes must be washed off with clean water. Incase of prolonged irritation seek medical advice.
