Principle:
Interactive whiteboard adopting infrared technology consists of an infrared pen which can emit infrared signal and a CMOS sensor which only allow infrared beam to pass through and filter out other visible light. When pressed to the whiteboard surface, the infrared pen sends out infrared signal. The CMOS sensor detects this signal and tracks the (X, Y) position of infrared pen. This technology may be combined with a hard (usually ceramic on steel) surface, which has long life and erases cleanly.
