Inflatable Rubber Dam

Inflatable Rubber Dams are made of high-strength synthetic fabrics supported by a frame and prefabricated rubber. Riveted on the base board, forming a sealed bag-shaped space, which shall be inflated with water or air in drouthy seasons to store water for industry, agricultural and daily use, In rainy seasons, water contained in Rubber dam shall be discharged to help release floodwater from the river course. Advantages of rubber dam includes shorter construction period(3-15 days for installation and the final construction period shall be 3-6 months), and longer use life.

Rubber dam is suitable to the projects with lower water level and large span sluice gated to used for irrigation, power generating, anti-tide, anti-flood and beautifying the environment.

Rubber dam is a new type of hydraulic structure compared with steel sluice gate, and made of high-strength fabric adhering with rubber, which forms a rubber bag anchoring on basement floor of dam. Filling water or air into the dam bag, rubber dam is used for water retention. Emptying water or air from the dam bag, it is used for flood release. Rubber dam has many advantages compared to conventional weirs, such as low cost, simple hydraulic structure, short construction time, perfect seismic performance and effect of stopping leading, and low resistance to water flow in flood season.
