Tacrolimus (Imograf) is chemically known as a macrolide. It reduces peptidyl-prolylisomerase activity by binding to the immunophilin FKBP12 (FK506 binding protein) creating a new complex. FKBP12-FK506 complex interacts with and inhibits calcineurin thus inhibiting both T-lymphocyte signal transduction and IL-2 transcription.

Indication:

Usage and Application:
Apply a thin layer of Imograf (Tacrolimus) Ointment to the affected skin twice daily. The minimum amount should be rubbed in gently and completely to control signs and symptoms. Stop using when signs and symptoms resolve. If signs and symptoms do not improve within 6 weeks, patients should be re-examined by their healthcare provider to confirm the diagnosis.

Contraindication:
Hypersensitivity to the any ingredients of Imograf Ointment.
