BWM Access Platform is a versatile and efficient Hydraulic Lifting Platform offering outstanding operating access and compactness for traveling. Power for the Hydraulic system is provided by a positive displacement pump driven is off the vehicle power through Power Take off Unit. Alternatively, the power can be supplied by an auxiliary engine as an optional extra.

Structure
Two very stiff but light box section booms fabricated from pressed channel section form the basis of the unit and are fitted with wide based self lubricating bushes. The whole assembly is mounted on large diameter tubular column forming part of the slewing mechanism. All box sections are rust inhibited form inside, while the exterior surfaces are pretreated and finished to give durable and attractive.

Slewing
380^o Slewing by rack and pinion arrangement driven hydraulically.

Stabilizer
Two Hydraulically powered stabilizers are fitted as an integral part of the slewing assembly. Each of the stabilizers may be operated independently and over travel is provided to allow traveling on uneven ground. When stowed, the stabilizers are flush with the sides of the decking.

Leveling
Tandem fully independent parallel links are provided to ensure that the cage always remains level and rigid. All pivot bushes are self - lubricating and require no adjustment or maintenance. The linkage is enclosed within boom assembly to protect against damage and abuse.

Hydraulic Rams
Rugged double acting hydraulic rams are custom built fro BMW Access Platform. All cylinder bores are precision honed for efficient operation and long life. all Piston rods are deep chrome (35-40 microns) plated for corrosion resistance.

Safety Device
Specially Over center valves are incorporated in the hydraulic circuit to ensure that all boom movements are accurate and precise. In addition, these valves safe guard the operator in the event of hydraulic hose failure or leakage by preventing creeping or collapsing of booms. This also prevent cavitation and provides additional relief to hydraulic circuit. Pilot operated lock valve incorporated in stabilizers hydraulic to prevent sinking of stabilizers while in operation. Individual stabilizers micro switcher / warming lights prohibiting the equipments operation until both stabilizers are deployed can be fitted as an optional.

Personnel cage
A specially designed reinforced fiber glass basket is fitted as standard. All attachment points are bonded to withstand most arduous use. A non stip floor with drain holes provides operator with ultra safe working conditions. The basket can be insulated to withstand 600V.

Control
Duplicated boom control are provided. Main hydraulic controls at the base are duplicated with in the operator's basket. Emergency stop button at cage and base control positions are provided as optional. Stabilizers control are provided only at the base for safety.

Emergency Hand Pump
A manually operated hydraulic pump is provided at base for supplying / hydraulic power to enable stowage or equipment in case of engine / pump failure.
