OPERATION
Impure liquid is fed to the filter shell by suitable pump. This liquid presses through opening on side of the plates than through filter aid and filter media (paper / fabric ) holds back the solid impurities and allow to pass crystal clear filtrate through metallic perforated screen and comes out via central passage created by interlocking cups and spacers.
Process continues until ita s rate reduces due to increased cake resistance. Than cake is removed and again filtration can be restarted.
